Our demo artist for July is Rita Sabler, visual journalist & educator from Portland, Oregon. 

Rita is a polymath (also a pianist and dancer!) who has authored numerous award-winning sketchbook reports -- from the jazz cafes of New Orleans, to a leprosy compound on Moloka‘i, Hawai‘i.  Read more about her endeavors & career on her website.

Rita takes us to a ruined compound in Tskaltubo, Georgia - a fascinating place of former luxury where Stalin used to have his spa days, but fell into disrepair after the Soviet Union fell. She shares some historic photos at the beginning of the video.
